Zhaoxiang Deng received his Bachelor's degree in 1995, Ph.D. in 2000, both from University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei, China), which defines him as a chemist. During his Ph.D. study, his research activities were concentrated on nanosecond-resolved voltammetry and computer simulation of electrochemical problems. After completing all his degrees, he had two years' postdoctoral experience on nanostructured inorganic phases at Tsinghua University (Beijing, China). From October of 2002, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University with his research interest shifted to DNA nanotechnology including DNA assisted nanofabrication and DNA directed self-assembly. In June of 2005, he joined the chemistry department at University of Science and Technology of China as a Bairen professor. Zhaoxiang Deng has authored or coauthored over 50 papers on peer-reviewed journals spanning sikiş izlethe areas of DNA nanotechnology, inorganic nanostructures and electrochemistry. | ||
主要研究方向 | ||
Research in our group is highly interdisciplinary, which covers analytical chemistry, bio-nanotechnology, electrochemistry and even more. We are taking advantage of cutting-edge bio-techniques and nanotechnologies towards constructing sikişelectrochemistry-based sensors for high sensitivity and easy detection of biomolecules (DNA and proteins, in particular). We are also interested in using bio-inspired processes and electrochemical approaches for the development of new tools towards nanotechnological applications. Besides, our research efforts are also directed towards understanding the basic physics and chemistry of nano-structured electrochemical interfaces.
